Snowshoeing + Mountain Picnic
No ski experience needed. A guided snowshoeing walk through the winter Andes
Service Description
The Andes in winter are one of the most extraordinary landscapes in South America — and you don't need to know how to ski to experience them. Snowshoeing is exactly what it sounds like: walking in the snow, with a wider base under your feet that distributes your weight and keeps you on top of the powder instead of sinking through it. It requires no prior experience, no fitness level beyond a comfortable walk, and no equipment beyond what we provide. What it gives you in return is access to high Andean terrain that most visitors to Santiago never see, at a pace that allows you to actually notice what's around you. The experience includes: Private transport from Santiago to the Farellones area (approximately 90 minutes) Snowshoe equipment for the full group Certified mountain guide for the walk Mountain picnic at a scenic high point — Chilean wine, good food, and views of the cordillera Hot drinks for the cold Return transport to Santiago Duration: 5–6 hours (including transport) Group size: 2–10 guests (private) Season: June–September (snow dependent) Contact us to book and check availability
